Abstract:

The NCEP, ECMWF, and Canadian ensemble forecast systems use different algorithms for representing uncertainty in numerical weather predictions. This seminar will review the basis, methods, current research, and operational results for the three different ensemble forecast systems, along with an outlook for future developments.
