Dr. Mian Chin is a Physical Scientist in the Atmospheric Chemistry and Dynamics Laboratory at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. She received Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1992. She came to NASA GSFC in 1995 after her Postdoctoral appointment at Harvard University. Mian's major research areas include aerosol-chemistry-weather-climate interactions, regional and global air quality, and sub-daily to decadal variability of atmospheric composition. Currently she serves as a co-lead of international activities of Aerosol Comparisons between Observations and Models (AeroCom) and Atmospheric Composition and the Asian Monsoon (ACAM). She is a recipient of Medal of Exceptional Achievement Awards from NASA as well as from Goddard Space Flight Center, Robert H. Goddard Award for Science, and is an AGU Fellow and AMS Fellow.
