A brief introduction of the staff and their work at Numerical Weather Prediction Division, NMC/CMA is made, including the operation and development of systems on global medium range model, fine resolution atmospheric model, ensemble forecasting, typhoon forecast, expansion at environmental fields, model verification & assessment, and system integration & technical support, etc. From the report we could get a rough knowledge on the development of China’s numerical weather prediction and its gap to top level of the meteorological world.
