ECMWF is
involved in wide range of activities aiming at the production of
reliable seasonal forecasts: historical ocean reanalysis, development
of coupled models, ensemble generation, multimodel forecasts,
calibration and combination or multi-model products. This talk
provides an overview of recent developments in some of these areas,
with special focus on the description of the components and behaviour
of next operational seasonal forecasting system (SYSTEM 3).
