Sho Yokota

Dr. Sho Yokota is a scientific officer in the Numerical Prediction Development Center, Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). He started to work in JMA in 2012 and received Ph.D. in Science from the University of Tokyo in 2017 and Yamamoto Award from the Meteorological Society of Japan in 2019. His research interests include mesoscale data assimilation and ensemble forecasts. He has been developing data assimilation for the Rapid Refresh Forecast System (RRFS) for the past 2 years as a NCEP/EMC visiting scientist, under an agreement with JMA.
