24h Precip Analyses ending 2002070412 on Various Grids

This is an example of what the daily gauge-based analyses look like on various verification grids. The first plot is the raw gauge data for that day, the second plot, the 0.125-degree analysis from CPC, is based on the gauge reports and using the PRIZM/least squares scheme. The rest of the analyses are interpolated from the 0.125-degree CPC analysis using COPYGB, except the two right-hand-side panels for Grids 211 and 212, which used the box-average scheme.

Raw Gauge Data 6,872 gauge reports for this day. Black dots denote reports of zero precipitation
