Abstract (including Motivation, Hypothesis and Method)

The Eta-32 is being used to test the impact of new TOVS/GOES radiance processing in the Eta 3DVAR analysis and modifications to the cloud microphysics and precipitation assimilation
OBSERVATIONAL AND ANALYSIS CHANGES

The Eta 3DVAR analysis in this test was modified to use the new TOVS/GOES radiance processing currently running the NCEP Global SSI analysis.
ETA MODEL / EDAS CHANGES

The EDAS precipitation assimilation scheme in this test was modified so that the adjusted convective precipitation rates are passed to radiation scheme.
