NCEP NAM CONUS Graphics - NAM Forecast vs RTMA Analyses

This page is a comparison of the North American Meso (NAM) forecast from 12Z 20 NOV 2009 and the best available Real-time Mesoscale Analysis (RTMA) valid at the same time. When any of the forecast hour links on the left is activated, the following charts will be displayed:

Upper left : NAM forecast (Eastern U.S.)

Upper right : NAM forecast (Western U.S.)

Lower left : RTMA analysis (Eastern U.S.)

Upper right : RTMA analysis (Western U.S.)

NOTE : For sea level pressure/850 mb/500 mb/250 mb fields, the NDAS analysis is displayed

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

• For regional 10-m winds, surface wind observations are also displayed.
• For regional 2-m temperatures and dew point temperatures, observations valid at that time also displayed.
• All displayed winds are in knots.
