The NGM on Sunday evening was the only short-range model to predict precipitation in the major east coast cities for Tuesday. Unfortunately, subsequent runs moved everything to the east such that the NGM was the least aggressive of the short-range models forecasting precipitation into the major east-coast cities with the 12Z cycle on Monday. Even the 00Z cycle on Monday evening was the driest of the 3 models for the DC area.
