Eta/RSM Combined Ensemble

The current NCEP SREF has 10 members, runs twice a day (09z and 21z) at a forecast length of 63hr with 48km Eta (5 members) and RSM (5 members) regional models. Three types of ensemble products are available now for selected variables: (1) Mean and Spread; (2) Spaghetti Diagrams; and (3) Probability Charts. More ensemble products will be developed in future. !!!Alert: Due to random date mismatch in the automated process of creating this large sum of gif files (about 9000 gif files each forecast cycle), some weired, non-meteorological images might be mysteriously produced sometimes (although the model output such as grib data is good). If this happens, please ignore those nonsense products and double check with the same kind of products but from other 2 ensembles such as Eta sub-ensemble and RSM sub-ensemble. Sorry about this annoyance and please accept our apology. We are doing our best to prevent this from happenning.!!! (Nov. 21, 2001, Jun Du).
